Privacy & Cookies
Mid-Life EV keeps data collection to a minimum. This page explains what we store and why.
Cookies we use
- Functional (always on): a random, signed first-party cookie (
mle_vk) lets us count likes and idea-votes once per browser. It contains no personal information and isn't derived from your IP. - Consent choice: a small cookie remembers whether you accepted analytics.
- Analytics (only if you accept): Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which videos are useful. It loads only after you click Accept on the cookie banner.
Email you give us
If you sign up for the newsletter or a “notify me” list, we store your email and the list you chose, with a timestamp recording your consent. We use it only to email you about that thing. To be removed, contact us at hello@midlifeelectrification.com.
Signing in for games
Signing in is optional and only used to save game scores. When you sign in with Google (or another provider we offer), we receive your name, email address and profile picture from them, plus an account ID. The first time you save a score we store those with your scores. Other visitors only ever see the leaderboard name you choose, never your real name or email. A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in. You can rename yourself or delete all of your game data at any time from your account page.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, we don't require an account to browse, play, vote, or like, and we don't run third-party ad trackers.
Your choices
You can decline analytics on the banner (or clear the mle_consent cookie to be asked again), and you can request access to or deletion of any email we hold by contacting us.
